Pink Nine Patch Variation wall hanging designed by Alex Anderson. The pink & white colored fabrics create a fun theme. The quilting is an allover stipple design which
blends in with the print
fabric full of squiggles!

You know spring is on its way when you see this wall hanging decorating my walls! The large rabbit is jumping to catch fluttering 3D butterflies.

This is a little quilt I stitched alternating floral embroidery designs on blank blocks and a print block. Machine embroidered quilting motifs embellish the solid purple border and freehand stippling is stitched around them embroidery.

A closer photo showing the embroidery design and freehand stippling detail. These designs are from Floral Delights by Hatched in Africa. I love all the detail and shading the designs display.

I used embroidery quilt motifs to quilt the border. The cotton Oliver twist thread, colors of purple, lilac and pink, enhances the purple
color theme and creates a
neat look on the backing.

This is a snowmen paper pieced wall hanging that I made for my aunt! The snowmen are so cute with all their different colored scarves! Two outside borders surround the snowy friends. It is quilted by stitching in the ditch and then abound with blue fabric to keep the tan, burgundy & blue color scheme.

Here is a close-up of the paper pieced birdhouse. I machine embroidered two little bluebirds.

This Rail Fence Wall Hanging I stitched with bright colorful fabrics. Alex Anderson's Start Quilting book put to use again!!

To quilt the center, I stitched diagonal lines across the 6" blocks. Stitching in the ditch covered the borders for quilting.

Don't forget the quilt label!! I machine embroidered the lettering, cut it down and attached it to the blue fabric with a decorative stitch. I then hand tacked it to the quilt.

Bumbling Along in Stained Glass! A fun project that teaches you stained glass techniques while creating a fun project!!
