By printing photos on fabric, I was able to create a Thanksgiving memory
wall hanging. I added coordinating fabrics and themed embroidery designs
to finish it!
I machine embroidered "Thanksgiving 2001" in the upper left corner on a
piece of fabric before adding it to my project.
The fabrics and photos are just thrown together in various directions to
mimic a crazy quilt pattern. Then I stitched a decorative feather stitch
in the ditch of all the seams using brown Oliver Twist thread.
The turkey is embroidered on the tan fabric before incorporating it into
my wall hanging. The photos are
printed on fabric sheets
and then cut down before incorporating them into my design. It was a
neat project to stitch!!
The photo of my two sisters trying on hats on a shopping trip was
perfect for the theme of this project! I created the border fabric by
sandwiching sequins, metallic threads and sparkles between black fabric
and black organza.
Hologram metallic threads just called for "Lights, Camera, Action."
Paper scrapbook embellishments add to the theme.
Star cutouts from sparkled felt contain rhinestones in each point and
rhinestone letters for my sisters' names. This just makes everything
dazzle for these two "stars."
Lady, our sweet little dog, loves to be the center of attention as
portrayed in this photo printed project. Buttons of puppies, bones and
paw prints are scattered with freehand quilting squiggles.
