This is a chef themed quilt which I stitched for someone! The lady brought me 4 chef tops and 1 pair of pants and wanted a quilt made from it! With the help of my imagination, cooking embroidery designs and chef themed fabric, I was able to come up with this as the result. It turned out really neat and they loved it!!

The center block is the neat knot buttons down the front of the chef top. She also had her name monogrammed above two pockets which is another block. The white and black small checked fabric in various blocks is from her pants. Some were pieced; I couldn't get a 18" block out of a pair on pants!!

A sleeve on one top had a logo, so I appliquéd the logo in a circle onto more checkered pant fabric. The block above it is a chef print fabric which is appliquéd onto black fabric. The chili pepper fabric was a neat border for 'hot & spicy' embroidery designs. It created more interest to the quilt and blended with the theme colors of red, black & white.

To fill in more blocks, I stitched some very large, detailed chef designs. Four blocks are white with black lettering. Each one has a catchy menu title and the shape of the letters match the title. This one says "Catch of the Day", and is in the shape of a fish hook!

This is a twin size t-shirt quilt made for someone with various logos and lettering on t-shirts. I fused So Sheer interfacing to the back of the t-shirt fabric to add stability, cut the shirt down so only the log remained, added borders as needed and stitched the blocks together. I made two quilts this size with different t-shirts.

The third t-shirt quilt is a large king size. The school colors are gold, black and purple, so I was able to enlarge the t-shirt blocks with these fabric colors. Most of the t-shirts pictured volleyball, cheerleading and other sports in which she was involved. All the quilts on this page were made for the same person! She had several garbage bags filled with clothes which she brought to me!!
